STARTTS Cultural Exchange Program

Jaz is sharing a Wayapa Wuurrk Workshop in conjunction STARTTS Cultural Exchange Program. STARTTS is the NSW Treatment and Rehabilitation Service for Torture and Trauma survivors. 

"The Cultural Exchange Program (CEP) supports refugee women who are often socially isolated and have little opportunity to travel and meet Australians in regional areas to have an experience they would not otherwise undertake on their own, showing them country NSW, meeting with Australian families and sharing their stories and culture. Previous exchanges have brought significant benefits and learnings to both the women participants and the hosts. Friendships have been forged and the visitors have shown increased confidence following the visit. The hosts reported that they learned more about the lives of refugee women."
