Gili Gali Exhibition

The Gili Gali (Dancing Light) Exhibition lights up the night with mesmerising projection of animated contemporary Indigenous art. This vibrant showcase is designed to feature the works of our incredible local Indigenous artist in a combines celebration of NAIDOC Week 2024 & Kiama Winter Festival 2024. Curated by local Wiradjuri woman Kearna Kemister, in collaboration with the Coomaditchie and Gumaraa teams, the exhibition presented creations by Dunghutti woman Allison Day, Dharawal woman Jaz Corr, Yuin Gunai Kurnai woman Lorraine Brown and Narelle Thomas, and Yuin man Richard Campbell. Each piece tells a story, reflecting the rich cultural heritage and storytelling prowess of these exceptional artists. Canvas art has been photographed by local Wiradjuri man Jye Talbot and digital animation infused by Angus Black.
